Everyone's favorite ornery ogre Shrek is experiencing an identity crisis in "Shrek Forever After," the fourth and final chapter of the hugely successful series of films produced by DreamWorks Animation. A clever parody of fairy tales, Shrek films have a reputation for finding as much appeal among adults as they do with children, due to double entendres that pop up throughout the dialogue. In this installment the green title character tries to recapture his glory days as an ogre and temporarily escape his life as a family man by making a pact with the devil (in this case Rumpelstiltskin). But the deal turns out to be deception and like Jimmy Stewart in "It's a Wonderful Life," Shrek gets an opportunity to see what life would be like if he had never been born. As a result he has to woo Princess Fiona all over again to make her fall in love with him before he disappears forever. Actors Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz and Antonio Banderas once again lend their voices to the main characters in the movie, and they're joined by newcomers Jon Hamm as Brogan the Ogre, Jane Lynch as Gretchen the Ogre, Kathy Griffin as Taran and Ryan Seacrest as Butter Pants' father, among others.
