Based on Stephanie Meyer's wildly popular "Twilight" books for young adults, the sexy and seductive film series brings to life protagonist Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), a displaced high schooler who is caught in a love triangle between two peers: Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a vampire, and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), a werewolf. Set in the Pacific Northwest, the film series combines romance and action with state-of-the-art special effects that drive the paranormal storyline. "Twilight" (2008) chronicles the budding love between Bella and Edward, climaxing when that love turns into danger for Bella who becomes prey to a group of rival vampires. "New Moon" (2009), featuring a buffed-up Lautner who spends much of the film shirtless, picks up where the first film left off, places Edward in the background and focuses on a growing relationship between Bella and Jacob. "Eclipse" (2010) pits vampires against werewolves as Bella nears her high school graduation and feels torn between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob. She is caught up in a vicious plot for revenge by a rival gang of vampires who want payback after Edward kills one of its members. "Breaking Dawn -- Part 1" was one of the highest grossing films of 2011, drawing audiences in to see Bella and Edward finally tie the knot. The birth of a daughter to Bella and Edward set the scene for the fifth and final installment of the "Twilight Saga" series, "Breaking Dawn -- Part 2," scheduled for release in 2012.
